Aya RamzyB, a Ghanaian artiste on the rise, has said that artistes who don’t care about having a record label aren’t serious.
Artistes often feel cheated by record labels and when asked about this in an interview with Kojo Amoako on the AreaGang, the singer said that music is a business in and of itself.
“Because music is a business, everyone should get something out of it. If you want to enjoy the benefits alone, you won’t go very far. You’re not serious if you want everything for yourself without the label getting nothing” he said.
He went on to say that your music wouldn’t get heard and your career wouldn’t be successful if the record label hadn’t put money into you.
Aya RamzyB also said that he would work with any record label that offers a good deal. The artiste is currently promoting his new Song “Weekend” with Kofi Kinaata on it. Watch the full interview below.
