Sudan Won’t Be Lucky The Next Time We See Them- Otto Addo

The head coach of the senior national football team, Otto Addo, has stated that Sudan’s goalless draw with Ghana at the Accra Sports Stadium was out of luck.

He mentioned this in his address to the media at the post-game presser following the Black Stars’ dominant second-half performance against the Falcons of Jediane.

The tie marked the first of two consecutive 2025 AFCON qualification matches against Sudan, with the second leg scheduled for Monday, October 14, at 13:00 GMT in Benghazi, Libya.

After reflecting on his team’s missed opportunities in this important match, Addo expressed that Sudan was fortunate to earn a point, but he believes they won’t be as lucky in the upcoming encounter.

“Surely we will try to train finishing and give them (the players) confidence that’s all. This was the only thing which was missing, the strength was good, the passion was there, the defensive discipline was there, it’s just about to finish the actions that’s all.”

“Sudan was very lucky today and next time we see them in Libya they won’t be lucky then we will win that’s all.”
