Spice Makes Donation To Students In 3 Basic Schools In Accra

On November 22, 2024, Grammy-nominated Jamaican dancehall artiste Spice, whose real name is Grace Latoya Hamilton, made a significant impact in Accra, Ghana, through a heartfelt donation to local schools.

Partnering with the charitable organization MYO Global, she provided essential supplies to over 1,500 students from three schools: La Anglican Basic School, Kaneshie Anglican Primary, and Mamprobi Anglican Primary.

Spice’s donation included classroom supplies, uniforms, shoes, sanitary pads, and snacks, addressing critical needs for students in a time of economic hardship.

During her visit, she personally distributed the items, receiving enthusiastic cheers and gratitude from the children. Reflecting on her motivation, Spice shared, “Growing up, I didn’t have access to these things, so giving back to children in need is very close to my heart.”

The headmistress of La Anglican Basic School, Sarah Matey, praised the initiative, noting that it would not only enhance students’ performance but also boost their confidence and enthusiasm for learning.
