The Electoral Commission (EC) has announced that it has not started the printing of ballot papers for the upcoming December polls.
The Commission indicated that it was rather the printing of Notices of Polls for the 2024 Presidential and Parliamentary Elections which commences today Friday, 11th October, 2024.
According to a statement released by the Commission, it had taken note of some statements making rounds in the public domain to the effect that it has not issued ballot statistics ahead of the printing of ballot papers for the 2024 general elections.
“We would like to assure the General Public that printing of ballot papers has not commenced. Printing of Notices of Polls for the 2024 Presidential and Parliamentary Elections, however, begins on Friday, 11th October, 2024,” a statement issued by the Commission said.

As has always been the case, it added, the Commission will provide ballot statistics to the Candidates / Political Parties and all Printing Houses before the printing of ballot papers starts.
