Presidency Launches ‘Government Accountability Series’ To Enhance Transparency

The Communications Office of the Presidency has announced the launch of a new transparency-driven initiative dubbed the Government Accountability Series, designed to strengthen public trust through regular ministerial updates.

Starting Monday, July 14, 2025, the series will provide a platform for key sector ministers to deliver mid-year performance reports on their respective portfolios, offering Ghanaians a clear overview of government progress and challenges over the past six months.

Presidency Spokesperson and Minister of State for Government Communications, Felix Kwakye-Ofosu, revealed that the sessions will be held three times a week — every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday — at 11 a.m.

The series will kick off with Minister for the Interior, Muntaka Mohammed-Mubarak, who is expected to outline recent developments and interventions in the country’s security and interior sectors.

The Government Accountability Series is part of a broader effort to promote transparency, foster citizen engagement, and reinforce the government’s commitment to open and responsive governance.
