Ghana international Mohammed Kudus has described the World Cup as the greatest football competition ever to exist.
The West Ham United player previously competed in the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar with the Black Stars.
Kudus, who was arguably one of Ghana’s best players at the tournament, scored two goals in three appearances in his maiden outing.
“It was really nice. I think the World Cup is the best football tournament. The Champions League is up there but the World Cup was just different in Qatar, my for the first time,” he told Rising Ballers in an interview.
“My family flew all the way to support so it was an amazing feeling.”
“We didn’t go as far as I would have loved us to go but it was nice to experience the World Cup. To be part of it was great,” he said.
The 24-year-old will be hoping he can take the Senior National Team there again in 2026 with the qualifiers next in sight after missing out on the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations
