Ghanaian-American singer and songwriter Moliy has given an interesting account of what inspired the “Jollof” line in her smash hit single “Shake It To The Max”.

The viral song, which has many social media users dancing, has also earned millions of streams on all digital streaming platforms.

A social media user who was curious about what inspired the song, Moliy recounted how an ex-boyfriend made her feel insecure about her body and gave her negative comments.

She went on to say that, despite all this, she still enjoys the food and misses her, just like she said in the chorus of the song.
