The suspect, known by the alias Fatau Motorway, who was seen in video footage wielding a weapon during violent clashes between supporters of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in Mamobi, Accra has been declared wanted by the Ghana Police Service.
According to a statement by the police, efforts are ramped up to bring the suspect to book if found guilty: “We urge members of the public to support us with credible information as we continue our intelligence-led operation to get him and other perpetrators arrested to face justice”.
The violent clash between NPP and NDC supporters has raised serious concerns about political unrest in the area.

Residents are demanding enhanced security measures, while the police have called for public cooperation.“We are working with all available evidence, including video footage, to track down those responsible,” the police stated.
Authorities have stated their commitment to restoring calm in the community as inquiries into the scuffle continue. “We are counting on the support of the community to provide any information that can help us locate the individuals involved,” they assured.
The police have also published images of Fatau Motorway, encouraging the public to remain alert. “The suspect was captured in the footage with a weapon,” the police emphasised.
