Lil Win Asks Martha Ankomah To Forgive Him After Defamation Suit Hearing

After his most recent court date on Tuesday, November 5, 2024, Kumawood star Lil Win apologized to his colleague Martha Ankomah in public.

Martha Ankomah sued Lil Win for GH¢5 million for defamation. On Tuesday, October 15, 2024, an Accra High Court scheduled the case for hearing after her lawyer, Nii Apatu Plange, informed Justice Forson Agyapong Baah of their intention to proceed with the claim.

Lil Win, the actor, and her lawyers made this decision because they were unable to reach an agreement outside of court.

Once Lil Win and his lawyer got out of court, they went live on TikTok to say sorry to Martha Ankomah on behalf of Lil Win and his Wezzy Empire management team. The Kumawood actor said that he chose to apologize to the public after talking to his lawyers and some important people.

Lil Win asked his friends, family, and fans to join him in telling Martha Ankomah he was sorry and wanting to end their court battle. He asserted that, in contrast to him, the actress experienced pain from the hurtful remarks he made about her several months prior.

The humorous actor said he was sorry for what he did and promised his fans that he would never say anything negative about Martha Ankomah again.

He told her that he had a lot of respect for her and that, as a Christian, he felt he had to make things right. Lil Win told his fans to follow Martha Ankomah on all of her social media accounts and said she was his favorite actor in Ghanaian movies.

He also said that he hoped to work with her on a movie project in the future, once she accepted his apology and their court issues were over.
