Hajia 4Reall Granted Passport By US Court For Self Deportation

Ghanaian influencer and musician Mona Faiz Montrage, popularly known as Hajia 4Reall, has been given the green light by a United States court to return to Ghana after approving her passport for self-deportation.

In the US, a 12-month jail term for conspiracy to receive stolen money in a fraudulent scheme convicted the Ghanaian socialite. The Federal Detention Center in Philadelphia was holding her.

The US District Judge Paul J. Oetkan granted the request after Hajia 4realls lawyers filed a request on November 1, 2024, demanding that her passport be given back to her to start the deportation proceedings back to Ghana.

The prosecutors did not oppose the demand, hence the ruling.

The influencer was sentenced June 28, 2024, after admitting her involvement in a fraud scheme that defrauded individuals and businesses in the US between 2013 and 2019.

The court ordered the 32-year-old to forfeit $216,475 and pay $1,387,458 in restitution in addition to her sentence. She will also serve three years of supervised release after her sentence.
