Henry Asante Twum, Communications Director of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), has revealed the organization’s plans to make changes to the Black Stars technical team.
According to reports, the FA is set to part ways with John Paintsil and Joseph Laumann with replacements lined up.
The move is part of the association’s plans to strengthen the backroom staff of the Black Stars team headed by Otto Addo.

Speaking to Joy Sports, Asante Twum confirmed additions to the technical team was one of the considerations during the Executive Council’s meeting last year.
“After the last meeting where Otto [Addo] presented his report to the Council, there were loads of considerations, discussions, analyses. They looked at the all the departments, the technical team, backroom staff and other service providers,” he said.
“At the end of the day, there was the need to make some changes.”
While the decision has not been officially publicized, the modifications are expected to take place before the team meets for the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers in March.
