Ghanaian Afro-soul singer and songwriter, Ess Thee Legend, who was previously known as Essilfie, has revealed how and why she had to change her name.
The singer talked about how she rebranded her name in an interview on the Drive with the AreaGang on PLUZZ89.9FM where she stated that she is forever going to be “Essilfie” because that is her surname.
“I will forever be Essilfie because that is part of my real name, my full name is Maame Esi Essilfie”, she revealed.
She made it clear that the main reason behind the rebrand was the belief she had in the power of words and, aside from her prophecy and the manifestation, which led to the point where she had to shorten her name, “Essilfie,” to “Ess Thee Legend.”
“Ess Thee Legend is like a prophecy, like a manifestation of where I want to be because Ess is still Essilfie,” as originally said.
