EC Schedules Crucial IPAC Meeting For October 15

The Electoral Commission (EC) has announced another Inter-Party Advisory Committee (IPAC) meeting on Tuesday, October 15, 2024.

This was revealed in a statement by the Commission released on Monday, October 14.

The meeting is aimed at convening key stakeholders in the electoral process to discuss important matters ahead of the 2024 general elections.

The EC stated that the main agenda for the meeting will be the re-exhibition of the Provisional Voter’s Register (PVR).

This comes in response to the Commission’s ongoing efforts to ensure the voter register is accurate and transparent, facilitating a smooth electoral process.

Engagements between the commission political parties, and other stakeholders have been ongoing to ensure full cooperation and participation in processes leading to the December polls.

EC encouraged all political parties to be in attendance with a maximum of two representatives.

This cap on the number of attendees is likely intended to keep the meeting focused and productive, enabling more efficient discussions on the relevant issues.

The commission aims to promote ongoing collaboration with political parties during this meeting. Similar to the previous meeting, the media will be granted access to attend.
