Asante Kotoko Part Ways With Prosper Narteh Ogum Poor Run Of Form

The head coach of Asante Kotoko has been sacked from the club due to recent poor performance in the ongoing 2024/25 Ghana Premier League season.

In July 2023, Ogum, having led the Porcupine Warriors to league glory in the 2021/22 campaign, was reappointed with high expectations.

However, his recent results have fallen short of expectations, with the team going winless in their last three matches.

Matchday 28’s disappointing 2-0 loss to Nations FC seems to have been the decisive moment.

A statement released by the club on Saturday afternoon confirmed the decision that the club has officially parted ways with the head coach regarding the recent poor performance of the club.

“Asante Kotoko Sporting Club has this afternoon parted company with Head Coach Dr Prosper Narteh Ogum.

This decision was reached following constructive discussions between both parties, with a shared understanding that it is in the best interest of the club at this time.

We thank Coach Ogum for his dedication and service to the club, and we wish him the very best in his future endeavours.
