Accra Brewery PLC, a subsidiary of AB InBev, introduced its new drink, Brutal Fruit Spritzer, to Ghanaians at an event dubbed the “Spritzer Saturday Brunch.”
The event, held on October 5 at Savannah GH in Accra, offered attendees a fun-filled day of music, art, and celebration.
The launch featured performances by spoken word artist Poetra Asantewaa, who delivered a powerful piece titled “The Brutal Fruit Tale,” along with musical acts by Kaesa and DJ Orztin.
Sensational music icon KiDi headlined the event, adding to the excitement.
Guests were also treated to a pink carpet walk, sip-and-paint activities showcasing artwork inspired by Brutal Fruit, and photo sessions to capture the lively atmosphere.
The introduction of Brutal Fruit Spritzer Ruby Apple, a refreshing 5% alcohol drink with a sweet and tangy mix of citrus and apple flavors, along with hints of spice, grapefruit peel, and honey, was the highlight of the event.
The Brand Manager of Accra Brewery PLC, Emmanuella Odametey, explained that the name “Brutal” signifies that every bit of flavour was squeezed out of the fruit, saying, “It’s brutally fruity!”
Speaking on the sidelines of the event, the Country Marketing Lead, Vanessa Kavi, was thrilled about bringing Brutal Fruit to Ghanaians, stating that the brand hopes to be a part of everyday special moments for their cherished customers, whom she referred to as “Besties.”
She also expressed her excitement about the launch, saying, “The Brutal Fruit Spritzer is our new beautiful flavoured beer that we just launched, and it’s for all the sophisticated ladies out there—ladies who stand for sophistication and elegance.”
“Besides that, the reason why we love this drink is because it makes every simple moment luxurious. It doesn’t have to be a super luxurious moment, but every little moment with this drink becomes luxurious because Brutal Fruit Spritzer is present,” she added.
Brutal Fruit Spritzer is available at all Melcom and ShopRite stores, as well as various restaurants.
More events like this are expected, and Brutal Fruit fans can look forward to the next Spritzer Saturday Brunch, which promises even more fun and refreshing experiences.
