Joshua Manyanan Essuman-Mensah, known in music circles as RJZ and a member of the La Meme Gang has made a very emotional post on his social media page concerning his latest song, “Daakyi”.
The young artiste made a tweet on his X account stating, “Ever since I dropped Daakyi, there hasn’t been a single radio play,” which he goes on to ask if he has done anything wrong.
While some of his fans blamed him for being more focused on the lady he used in his visual for the song, others also encouraged him to start promoting his song through his social media platforms, such as X, Facebook, and others. His fans stressed the importance of maintaining communication with his fans.
He later replied to a comment that was made by DJ Loft, saying, “That’s why!!! That’s why! Because it’s been mostly you. That’s why”. This was after the DJ commented saying that he hasn’t been on the radio for over a month and promised to be back soon.
However, his post has shown how important radio stations and other media platforms are in terms of promoting musicians and their works in Ghana.
