Darlington Kwasi Agyekum, who is widely recognised in the entertainment industry as Dr. Cryme, has been elected as the new SRC president of Methodist University Ghana.
D-Cryme, who announced the news in a social media post on April 7, 2025, is renowned for his contemporary hip-hop lyrical style, which blends Ghanaian and English languages.
The rapper and singer from Tema has declared that he will prioritise promoting student welfare initiatives and effective student representation if he is elected president of the SRC.
He will also guarantee that every student’s input is heard and appreciated.
Dr Cryme has joined the likes of Samini and Guru, who were both successful in their bids for the SRC president at the University of Ghana and GIMPA, respectively.
