The beef between Dope Nation and Kuami Eugene has been a topic of discussion in the Ghanaian music scene. The controversy began when Dope Nation departed from Lynx Entertainment, a record label that also signed Kuami Eugene.
Kuami Eugene’s remarks about Dope Nation’s departure from the label came across as dismissive and celebratory. Dope Nation was not pleased with this and retorted with a sharp rebuke, leading to a public feud.
In a recent post, Dope Nation sends a farewell message to Kuami Eugene following news of his departure from Lynx Entertainment.
This comes years after the duo left the record label themselves. Dope Nation’s message mirrors comments Kuami Eugene made about their exit four years ago.
At the time, Kuami Eugene received backlash for expressing relief, stating, “What was supposed to be shared between four boys will now be shared between two.”. He was referring to himself and Kidi.
However, Dope Nation sent a farewell message to Kuami Eugene overlooking his comments he made years ago about their departure from Lynx Entertainment.
Dope Nation wished Kuami Eugene well in his future endeavors. In their post, it stated, “Let’s see how you carry the so-called “Lynx curse” now. What was meant for four people is now for one person. We wish you well.”
