The Director of Elections for the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Dr. Edward Omane Boamah, calls on the Electoral Commission to desist from appointing partisan election officers come December 7th.
In a Facebook post on Tuesday, November 26, he urged the EC to ensure transparency and fairness in the election.
He stated that the party will monitor the selection of election officers and would compare the delegates list from the NPP to those appointed to oversee the December polls.
He expressed his concern that the appointment of partisan leaders could potentially undermine the credibility of the general election. The call from the NDC follows a recent communication from the EC, directing them not to release the names of election officers to any political party.
The memo from Tuesday, 24th November, stated that the political parties were requesting the ability for election officers to communicate the results to them.
