Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has emphasized that his team is not in a “dark place” as indicated by his skipper Bernardo Silva in a recent interview.
Guardiola believes Manchester City played a really good game in their shock 4-1 away defeat to Sporting Lisbon in the UEFA Champions league.
City suffered their third defeat in Lisbon despite taking an early lead through Phil Foden, having lost in the league to Bournemouth on Saturday and the EFL Cup away to Tottenham seven days ago.
The Cityzens are facing a number of fitness issues, with the absence of certain key players like Rodri, Kevin De Bryune, Jack Grealish, Oscar Bobb and Savinho
“We played really bad against Bournemouth but really good here. The only regret is conceding the third and fourth – the penalties were not necessary,”
“We knew it would be a tough season at the start and this is what it is. I like it, I love it, I want to face it and lift my players. Life is like this. We continue. What should we do? We go back to Manchester and prepare for the game at Brighton. I won’t give up, that’s for sure.” he said.
Manchester City will travel to Fabian Hurzeler’s tricky Brighton on Saturday.
