Jackie Appiah Wins “Best Actress Award” At 2024 Africa Movie Academy Awards (AMAAs)

On November 2, 2024, at the Africa Movie Academy Awards (AMAAs) in Lagos, Nigeria, Ghanaian actress Jackie Appiah was honored with the title of Best Actress in a Leading Role.

The film “Red Carpet,” which she co-starred in and was produced by her manager and friend Samira Yakubu, was the inspiration for this honor.

Abeiku Santana, Grace Omaboe, Selly Ghally, Kalsoume Sinare, Adjetey Annang, Roseline Ngissah, Beverly Afaglo, and Deyemi Okanlawon are among the performers featured in the film directed by Frank Rajah Arase.

Before this, Jackie had won Best Supporting Actress at the 2007 American Movie Awards for her work in “Beyonce.” “The Perfect Picture,” Shirley Frimpong Manso’s 2010 film, won her the Best Actress award. Her performances in subsequent films have garnered her a slew of nominations.
