Just days after the unfortunate rock-blasting accident at the Buduburam road construction site, work has resumed, with assurances of improved safety measures.
The incident on October 14 led to multiple fatalities and considerable damage to surrounding properties, raising serious safety concerns at the site.
An anonymous project supervisor revealed that staff have received additional safety training in light of the accident.
He also noted that advanced monitoring systems have been put in place to help prevent future incidents.

Several workers at the site shared their confidence in the new safety measures, asserting that they believe the actions taken by the authorities are adequate to prevent a repeat of the tragedy.
In an interview, the Gomoa East NADMO Director, Robert Hackman, confirmed that the rock blasting phase of the project is finished but reiterated that the improved safety protocols will continue to be implemented to safeguard both workers and nearby residents.
