Asante Akyem constituency’s independent parliamentary candidate for the 2024 elections, OK Frimpong, has disclosed that most performers at Medikal’s sold-out concert supported him.
According to OK Frimpong, all the artistes who performed at the event covered their expenses and performed without payment.
“All the acts that came to support Medikal, it’s just about two of them that we had to pay for some things, hotel, and a few things. Almost all of them, they took the financial part themselves.
Definitely, we didn’t do anything for Shatta Wale. That’s the only one I will mention. The rest I won’t say,” he said.
The said event was held on May 3, 2024, in London. The event saw artistes like Shatta Wale, Sarkodie, Sister Derby, Efya, among others.
OK Frimpong stated that this event was very successful as he made enough gains, unlike his previous ones.
According to him, his first event which was held in the UK featuring Amakye Dede and Kuami Eugene wasn’t successful because he was new to the event space.
