I’m Not Crazy About Marriage- Ini Edo

Nigerian movie icon, Ini Edo has spoken to rumours regarding her potential marriage.

In a viral report in September 2024, the Nigerian actress was speculated to have been gearing up for marriage after she shared a photo of herself in a traditional Efik bridal gown with a love caption on her official page.

However, Ini Edo, in an interview with Nigeria’s Premium Times, clarified that the post was not an engagement announcement, but a promotion for her upcoming four-part series themed; ‘My Fairytale Wedding’.

When she was asked if she anticipated having a real-life fairytale wedding someday, Ini Edo noted that marriage is no longer a priority for her.

“I’m not crazy about marriage; I am crazy about having a solid relationship. I’m not hoping, and it’s not any of my prayer points.”

Surrogacy refers to a method of pregnancy where a woman carries and delivers a baby for someone who cannot conceive. In this process, eggs from either the surrogate or an egg donor are fertilized with sperm from a sperm donor to create an embryo.

The embryo is implanted in the uterus of the surrogate mother, who carries the baby until birth.

The award-winning actress and entrepreneur stated that she chose a surrogate to ensure both her peace of mind and that of her baby. She also expressed a desire to avoid any form of controversy.
