Kurt Okraku Blasts Black Stars Players Ahead Of Crucial Sudan Encounter

The Ghana Football Association (GFA) President Kurt Okraku has made a passionate plea to the Ghana Black Stars team to enhance their performance in the upcoming matches against the Falcons of Jediane.

He expressed this during a team dinner as the Black Stars gear up for the important fixtures scheduled for Thursday, October 10, in Accra, and Monday, October 14, in Benghazi, Libya.

The Ghana FA boss urged the players to show commitment in the double header against Sudan. He took a swipe at the team for their poor performance in the 1-1 draw with lowly-ranked Niger.

“Few weeks ago we played against Niger. How did you guys feel when you went back home to your bases having drawn against Niger. How did you feel? Were you happy? Niger. Come on guys you drew against Niger. You drew 1-1 against Niger that was the scoreline. No joke. 1-1 against Niger,” he said.

He added that “Four, five of the players who played in that (Niger) squad, sorry cannot play in my club that is the truth but Ghana played 1-1 against Niger. We saw a Black Stars team without energy, without passion without the desire to play. It is not possible like this.”

Ghana is currently in third place in Group F, having only one point, which puts them two points behind second-placed Sudan.
