Liverpool star Diogo Jota has died in a car crash, according to local reports in Spain.
The 28-year-old Portuguese forward died in a crash near Zamora, in northwestern Spain, according to the Spanish news agency EFE.
The agency reports that his brother, Andre, was also killed in the crash early on Thursday morning on the Rias Bajas Highway (A-52) near Palacios de Sanabria.
The accident happened at around 12.40 am local time, when a car left the road and caught fire on the road heading towards Benavente, according to El Mundo.
It comes just 10 days after the player had got married, before sharing photos from the wedding on his social media.
He was the father of three.
Jota left Wolverhampton Wanderers for Liverpool in September 2020 after agreeing to a deal worth over £40 million.
In the Portuguese second level, his brother Andre was a player for Pennafiel, when he was 26 years old.
