We Want Peace To Reign Between Nsoatreman and Asante Kotoko – Joel Kofi Gyempeh

The Public Relations Officer (PRO) of Nsoatreman, Joel Kofi Gyempeh, has issued a passionate appeal for peace and calm between Nsoatreman and Asante Kotoko following the death of Francis Frimpong, popularly known as Nana Pooley.

Speaking in an exclusive interview with Michael Eklu on Pluzz 89.9 fm, he emphasized the need for unity and sportsmanship, stressing that the beautiful game of football should bring people together, rather than drive them apart.

Nsoatreman FC has been officially dissolved, with all players requested to leave, following widespread criticism and outrage following the terrible murder of a Nana Pooley earlier this season.

Joel Kofi Gyempeh, the club’s Public Relations Officer (PRO), confirmed the decision, citing constant attacks on the club as the key reason for its dissolution.

He attributed the decision to the impact from the February 2 incident at Nsoatreman’s home game versus Asante Kotoko, which culminated in the unfortunate death of a Kotoko fan known as Pooley.

“We want peace to reign between Nsoatreman and the Kotoko fraternity; I’m referring to the Kotoko team itself with its supporters because most people are not happy with the death of Pooley he said on an interview on Pluzz 89.9 Fm”.

“Kotoko is one of the clubs we have a very good relationship with before this incident happened”. He said.

The withdrawal of Nsoatreman is likely to have major implications on the Ghana Premier League standings and match schedules.
