Ghanaian singer and songwriter Kuami Eugene has released his new song “Odo Asem,” inspired by the legendary Samuel Ofori Amponsah’s song called “Damabi.”
The song was released on Saturday, 1st February, which spreads love and peace and also marks the start of the month of love. The combination of old highlife and hiphop created this masterpiece.
He later posted on his social media that it has always been his dream to have a song that follows the pattern of the Legend’s song.
Even though his song contains proverbs that were being used by Mr. Samuel Ofori Amponsah, he was able to blend the “Akan” dialect with the English, making it easy for the youths to relate to and understand his piece.
