Delay Weighs In On King Paluta’s “Makoma” Snub

TV show host and entrepreneur Deloris Frimpong Manso, popularly known as Delay, shows how shocked she is about the controversy surrounding King Paluta’s popular song, “Makoma”, not being nominated as one of the most popular songs on the Telecel Ghana Music Awards (TGMA) nomination list.

The Telecel Ghana Music Awards (TGMA) released and congratulated nominees who happened to be nominated for the Most Popular Song of the Year category on March 16, 2025, which had one of King Paluta’s hit songs, ”Aseda,” among other artistes.

Delay later took it to her X account, expressing how displeased she is for not seeing “Makoma” by King Paluta in all expected categories.

She posted. “How @KingPalutaMusic Makoma wasn’t nominated, is why I keep praying without ceasing. Under your very eyes, what belongs to you will be snatched away if you cease praying,” she expressed her self.

Delay and other fans of King Paluta were furious, as they believe “Makoma” was one of the most popular songs of the year’s review.

King Paluta also posted on his X account in a petition, demanding a reason why his song wasn’t nominated for the categories he submitted it for.

King Paluta strongly believes that his song “Makoma,” which was filed in the categories of “Most Popular Song of the Year,” “Song Writer of the Year,” “Hiplife Song of the Year,” and “Record of the Year,” meets all the ethical and moral standards required by the awards scheme.

He also added that his song was one of the most loved of the year, and he needs to know why “Makoma” wasn’t nominated in the categories mentioned.
