Ghanaian artiste Amaarae made history by being the first from Ghana to perform at Coachella, a well-known music festival.
During her show over the weekend, Amaarae played several Ghanaian songs by artists like Joey B, Asakaa Boys, La Même Gang, and others, as well as unreleased tracks.
During her performance, Amaarae also revealed that this summer will see the release of her new album, Black Star.
In addition, the singer seemed to cut her long black hair in the middle of her performance and shave her head.
Her Coachella performance was hailed for several reasons, including her tribute to Ghana, and fans and spectators rushed to X to remark on the unexpected decision. Enjoy her performance below.
