Otto Addo Praises And Declare Benjamin Asare as Ghana’s number one Goalkeeper

Black Stars head coach Otto Addo has applauded the outstanding performances of Hearts of Oak goalkeeper Benjamin Asare after their victories over Chad and Madagascar.

Speaking after the game against Madagascar on Monday, March 24, Addo stated:
“I think the next game is in June, and at the moment, he’s the number one. We decided on him because he performed well in training. We have a good situation where the keepers are pushing each other.”

Addo also expressed gratitude for the teamwork and camaraderie among the goalkeepers:

“I’m really thankful for the way Ati Zigi and Wollacott behaved during this week, trying to push Benjamin, help him, and support him. I don’t take it for granted. Big props to them. Asare deserved it; I’m very happy for him.”

The Black Stars currently top their group with 15 points, putting them in pole position to secure a World Cup spot for the fifth time in Ghana’s football history.
